The Carmel Family has implemented a Pastoral Transition Plan that allows a retiring Senior Pastor to continue to serve while the church searches for a new Senior Pastor. This means that the church will search for a new Senior Pastor while Dr. Poplin, who plans to retire by the end of 2012, continues to serve in that role. Our newly established Pastor Selection Committee is tasked to search for a Senior Pastor candidate and recommend that person to the church. 1/22/2012 Update We are engaged in ongoing conversations with a few pastors about their potential calling to Carmel. They are praying and seeking God's will as is our group. We plan to travel soon to hear them live. Biographies of the committee members can be found here. Per the church bylaws, this committee will serve until a new Senior Pastor is called by the church.
